Full question: The Scottish Labour Party leader has set up a commission which will look at the affordability of policies which the Scottish Parliament has delivered since 1999, using the budget given to it by Westminster, for example, Scotland having no tuition fees, free personal care for the elderly, no prescription charges, concessionary travel for the elderly, and keeping council tax lower with a council tax freeze. Under the Scottish Government, Scottish students studying at university in Scotland do not pay fees. In England, the UK Government has allowed universities to charge all students up to £9,000. If you thought it would help protect the current policy of no tuition fees in Scotland, would you be more or less likely to vote ‘Yes’ to an independent Scotland or would it make no difference?
